Oral International Airport serves the city of Uralsk, which is the central point of West Kazakhstan region.
Though the airport is small, it has a well-developed infrastructure that does not require significant modernization. There are two terminals - one for departures and boarding for domestic flights, the other is focused on the international communications.
The technical equipment of the airport contributes to the fact that on its territory there is the possibility to carry out emergency landings, while the runways are capable of receiving all types of civil aircraft of both heavy and light types, as well as all types of helicopters.
The airport operates twenty-four hours a day. The shuttle bus from the city runs directly to the passenger terminal, which quickly connects it to the train station of Uralsk.
The planned reconstruction works on airfield and runways, and improving its infrastructure significantly increase passenger traffic, both of domestic and international flights.
